A positive note on K&K

Okay, if anybody here thinks I hate K&K, They're wrong.
If I hated it, I wouldn't have read EVERY SINGLE STRIP from the beginning.

I'm just not that fond of the art style.
However, this is one VERY well drawn strip here.

I like the dialog here, sounds mostly natural aside from Fenton's last line.

Anyway, what I like here is the art.

None of the usual K&K goofups, like freaky eyes, teeth where they shouldn't be,
whiteless eyes, etc.

Fenton's expression in the last panel is especially nice, and the folded wing is a nice touch.

Overall, if the guy who draws K&K decided to stick with a more strict art style, this should be
his reference.

Less is more.

See this comic? Yeah, it's only KINDA funny.
It feels like the joke is being told by a guy who wants to be SURE that we get it.
"See, it's funny 'cause the buy got an A in forgery, but he FORGED the A! Geddit?
So either way, he's earned it! Haha! See? He's got a sarcastic look and his fingers crossed
so he OBVIOUSLY forged it! HA! Geddit?!"

LAAAAAAME!

Being the opportunist I am, I took it upon myself to make the joke less obvious,
and therefore more funny.

See? MUCH funnier.

The WHAT incident?

Hmmm, the way he's looking at that tape makes me think of...

Well, THIS.

I'm jus' sayin'.

I'm back!

I'm gonna make this post interesting by ragging on two K&K strips.

I'm gonna give this guy the benefit of the doubt and say his dentures are too big.
I know I'D drool like that if I had to keep my mouth open like that.

Aww, how sa- SWEET JESUS WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER EYES?!
Seriously, she looks like Rena from Higurashi NAku koro ni when she's in crazy mode.

What a homecoming post, eh?

Second Impressions on DQIX, and what my ideal RPG would be like.

Apparently, I hadn't gotten far enough in DQIX to give it a fair shake.
I'm really liking the story so far. It's nothing groundbreaking, but
it's enough to make you want to endure the usual RPG leveling up
process to see what happens next.

The battle system however, is the usual turned-based stuff most of us
have come to either love or hate. Myself a little of both.
A nice addition is the Coup de Grace ability.
It's kinda like FF's Limit Break system, but somewhat less
developed.

The only DQs I plan on playing after this would be IV and V.
I hear they all pretty much play the same.

I still believe that CT should be the standard by which all RPGs are judged,
gameplay-wise.

However, Phantasy Star 4 effectively proved that turn-based combat
can be fun, even though it's overused.

To me, the ideal RPG would have a battle system identical to CT, complete with scripted encounters replacing random ones. With the
challenge level of Crimson Echoes. (I played a leaked prototype, the REAL one,
not the demo, about 95% done compared to the one shown on Youtube.)

It'd have a party conversation thing like in PS4 and the PSX version of Tales of Phantasia.

There wouldn't be any overworld, the areas'd all be connected to eachother seamlessly like
in Earthbound, and the Pokemon games.

The characters would all be pre-made and well written with vibrant personalities
ala CT, PS4, and FF6.

The plot would branch, but you could still get all the characters in one game,
and the plot would actually make SENSE.

Somebody please, PLEASE make this game.

This may or may not blow your mind.

Okay, so I was doing my usual thrift-store and Goodwill raid, and I saw a small poster for the movie Mr. Mom. A thought suddenly struck me.

Behold, the box art for Mr. Mom.

Compare to the box art for Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Weeeeeeeird, huh?
Was this intentional?

A little long-overdue clarification.

This image got a lot of confusion from everyone I showed it to. Since nobody but Nana actually
GOT what I found so sad about this image, I'll explain it here in great detail.
I read "Not tonight" as "Sorry hon, we're not doing it tonight."
If you don't know what "doing it" means, it means having SEX.
That's right, she's saying they won't be having sex tonight.

Don't you see why this is so sad?
Those @#$% machines SUCKED OUT EVERY LAST BIT OF PASSION that couple had left!
Look at their faces. They LONG for the love they lost. They long to be able to recapture
those bygone days when the bed was more than just a long desk.

I don't know what it is that they're doing on there, but they obviously don't enjoy it.
What a shame.
